The dreaded question no one wants to think about answering, describe yourself..... I shall give it a shot, why not?
I have lived in Port Elizabeth my whole life, this City has always been home, no matter where I have been in the world. I have been married since September 2015. My husband works abroad every 3 months, so the time we get to spend with each other is minimal, but we do make up for lost time. We share a beautiful son, he is 2 years old, his name is Grayson. He is the light of my life, my muse, my model for photos.
I am a friendly person with a huge heart that always gives and loves more than I should. I adore animals, I have a few at home. I have all my family support right outside my doorstep. I have the best group of friends a girl could ask for.
I took interest in photography in 2013, it was no profession, it was just a hobby. After few years of researching on the internet and browsing other photographers in my area work, I thought there was not much specialized photographers in the newborn field. I took interest in this side, bought some books, and you-tubed a lot. I had the most wonderful opportunity whilst I was visiting my husband in America, to be mentored by a very talented photographer, Nicole from NZA Photography in Kentucky. I was her assistant, she allowed me to bring in my own camera, she taught me basically all I know. I always say, hands on experience is by far the most important, and best way to learn. I helped with Maternity Shoots and Newborn Shoots. I came home and did a few shoots to practice what i had learnt. I have also done a Newborn and Safety Training course with one of our local photographers Anneli Jonker. I am constantly learning all the time.
I specialize in only Maternity, Newborn up to a year, and Birthday Parties. I find myself to be more comfortable with the little's and their parents. I love babies, and i love perfecting my style and giving my best work to my clients.
